Who can Audition for MCP?
Any person up thru the age of 22 years old can perform with MCP. Primarily, MCP is made up of High School & College age percussionists from around the Midwest.
What is rehearsal/ Performance Schedule?
The rehearsal schedule for MCP is a heavy commitment. MCP rehearses every Saturday & Sunday from Late October thru Mid-April with very few exceptions. Rehearsal times vary based upon gym availability, and performance schedules but generally run from 10am - 10pm on Saturdays, and 9am-330pm on Sundays.
How Much does MCP Cost?
The fees for MCP are typically $1450 plus additional fundraising. This covers sticks, mallets, uniforms, props, instruments, member baseball jersey, hotel rooms for Regional & World Finals, music & drill writing, instructional staff, and cost of registration, and membership to the competing circuits we are involved with.
How are School/ High School Band Conflicts Handled?
All school related conflicts that are communicated with the Directors of MCP can be worked around. Communication and planning are the key and we work hard to make all school related conflicts work.
